Artist: Midnight Design, Moraga, CA. 1995 to 2003.
Created original art for use in medical, educational, presentation and
entertainment CD-ROMs and websites. Designed and produced user interfaces,
storyboards, animations, logo treatments, and illustrations. Modified
existing art from other artists when necessary to evolve websites or
CD-ROMs. Participated in brainstorming sessions with clients and other
artists.
Clients included Alyn & Bacon, Addison Wesley Longman, Dantz, Toyota,
Ninth House, Mosby, Sybex, Macromedia, The Learning Company, Hasbro,
Basis Inc., Digital Eclipse, Netopia, etc... and many home page designs.

doing my own color correction and layout, mostly in Photoshop.
EXPERIENCES
AND INTERESTS
Oil painter for the past 25 years, covering a wide range of subject
matter and styles. See my art site.
Also with plenty of drawing experience, filling many sketchbooks on
the road and drawings at the drawing table.
Longtime musician, started playing the drumset in 1977 and went on to
participate in many rock bands, and eventually out and straight jazz
in San Francisco in the early 90’s through 2001.
Since then have focused on guitar playing, particularly 6 & 12 string
acoustic fingerpicking in open tunings, with some experience with electric,
on a Fender Stratocaster.
Astronomy: Making homemade telescopes, instructed from books and by
taking John Dobsons class in San Francisco where I successfully ground
a 12.5” mirror with a 6.6’ focal length. I participate in
public star parties in Yosemite, Lassen Park and in San Francisco, doing
“Sidewalk Astronomy”, often as a member of the San Francisco
Amateur Astronomers group.
I
now live in Seattle.

Studied and sketched from the scenes & museums of Europe and Scandinavian
archeology.
